TAKE ME TO THE JOURNAL

This recipe came from a flight attendant John flew with, she said it was a wonderful and we had to try it.  IT WAS GREAT!!!  Thank you Pat.

ALASKA HALIBUT ROYALE

1 cup dry white wine  (We use our box of Chardonay we keep for the clams)
2 t  salt
1 1/2 lbs Alaska halibut steaks, thawed
1/4 cup fine dry bread crumbs
1/2 cup each sour cream & mayonnaise
1/4 cup minced green onions
Paprika

Combine wine & salt; pour over halibut. Marinate in refrigerate at least 1 hour.  Drain halibut on paper towels; dip both sides in bread crumbs.  Place halibut in shallow buttered baking dish.  Combine sour cream, mayonnaise & green onions; spread over halibut.  Sprinkle w/ paprika.  Bake at 450 F for 10 minutes per inch of thickness, measured at the thickest part, or until halibut flakes when tested with a fork.   Makes 4 servings.
