Alaska Adventure Journal

TAKE ME TO THE JOURNAL

You are watching John and friend's Swanson River Canoe Trip.  We were looking for silver salmon and hopefully one unlucky moose.  The float started in Sterling, AK on the Kenai Peninsula.  Twenty six river miles later we took the canoes out at Captain Cook State Park, near Cook Inlet and the city of Nikiski.  No moose lost its life or was in any way endangered on this outing.  In other words we didn't even see a cow moose. However, the September scenery was absolutely beautiful.
